GROUPS & RECOVERY MINISTRIES DEVELOPER // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

 

JOB OBJECTIVES 

  • Champions Eagle Brook’s value of Connecting in Community churchwide by developing resources to create engaging experiences and build transformational relationships
  • Advances the value of Groups & Recovery Ministries by developing systems, resources, events and training materials to support group strategies and group leader development
  • Supports the Groups & Recovery Ministries Director by collaborating in resource development and engagement with the campus groups pastoral staff
  • Reports to the Groups & Recovery Ministries Director

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Develops content, resources and connection strategies under the direction of the Groups & Recovery Ministries Director
  • Works with cross-functional teams to create and develop content and curriculum that helps grow the value of Connecting in Community (i.e., small groups, mid-size groups, conversation guide)
  • Develops relationships with campuses to ensure the ministries of DivorceCare, GriefShare and Quest 180 are fully equipped
  • Creates volunteer tier structure development resources (i.e., Group Leader training, Director development)
  • Works with the Communications and Creative teams to develop and manage marketing and promotional needs for group strategies on campus and online (digital and print)
  • Collaborates with Ministry Systems Developer to identify gaps and develop systems that ensure group logistics are managed
  • Manages an assigned budget

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Maintains group leader website to communicate with and resource group leaders
  • Works with cross-functional teams inside and outside Eagle Brook to create and deploy content for recovery ministries (Quest180, Divorcecare, Griefshare)
  • Understands and uses a database to support the strategies and structure of groups at Eagle Brook
  • Tracks ministry outcomes and expenses, including goals and budgets
  • Stewards continuous improvement of existing strategies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s nine core beliefs
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (typically 4+ years)
  • 5+ years leading a small group
  • 2+ years in ministry program development or related experience
  • Expert knowledge of MS office, including Word and Excel
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and time-management skills
  • Strong listening skills

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree

 

JOB DETAILS  

  • Location: Centerville, MN (occasionally at various campuses)
  • Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
  • Salary Range: $23.00 - $27.00
  • Full/Part Time: Full Time
  • Regular/Temporary: Regular
  • Workdays: Monday – Friday with occasional evenings and weekends at various campuses 
  • Work Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with occasional evenings and weekends
  • Remote Eligible: may be eligible to work remote one day per week
  • Ministry/Department: Central Ministry
  • Team: Groups & Recovery Ministries

 

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Regular communicating with others to exchange information 
  • Regular assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned 
  • Regular repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers 
  • Regular sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing 
  • Occasional moving about to accomplish tasks from one worksite to another
  • Occasional adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions
