TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

 

JOB OBJECTIVES 

  • Responsible for creating and executing training programs that equip staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to perform effectively and in alignment with Eagle Brook Church’s organizational goals and culture
  • Partners with Human Resources Leadership team and other cross-functional leaders to assess organizational development needs, drive training initiatives and arrange engaging, effective and suitable training solutions for employees
  • Reports to the Human Resources Director 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Collaborates with the Human Resources Leadership team, Executive Leadership team and other cross-functional stakeholders to develop, systematize and coordinate training and development learning tracks, curriculum and course content
  • Compiles and organizes information obtained from assessments, feedback and other performance metrics to help identify opportunities and gaps in employee organizational training and development, understand employee development history and provide insights and recommendations to key leaders
  • Maintains a training calendar and manages scheduling, communications and other logistics for onboarding and training events, including, but not limited to, All Supervisor Training, New Supervisor Training and Accelerate Program
  • Manages training logistics, including, but not limited to, maintaining employee database in training software and platforms
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, materials and attendance
  • Ensures adherence to mandatory compliance training requirements
  • Champions staff culture as established and desired by the Executive Leadership Team

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assists with Ministry Associate and pastoral onboarding and training, as needed
  • Assists with mentorship and internship programs, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s 9 core beliefs
  • Associate’s degree in related field or relevant certifications   
  • 3+ years of experience in training and development or adult learning
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and follow through
  • Proactive, able to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and build strong working relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of latest training trends and best practices
  • Passion for employee development and continuous learning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Proficient in LMS software, platforms and spaces

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, organizational development, business administration, human resources, education or related field
  • 2+ years of experience using Docebo or comparable LMS software
  • Proficient in data analysis to measure training outcomes and ROI
  • Experience or understanding of Eagle Brook Church culture or similar large church environment

 

JOB DETAILS

  • Location: Centerville, MN
  • Status: Exempt / Salary
  • Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000 
  • Full/Part Time: Full Time
  • Regular/Temporary: Regular
  • Workdays: Monday – Friday (generally)
  • Work Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (generally)
  • Remote Eligible: may be eligible to work remotely one day per week
  • Ministry/Department: Operations

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Regularly remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Regularly uses repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Occasionally adjusts or moves objects up to 5 pounds in all directions
  • Occasionally moves objects up to 20 pounds
