EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

 

JOB OBJECTIVES

 

  • Champions the complexities of creating and maintaining a healthy working culture that is focused on resolution for a productive and positive experience for employees at all levels
  • Drives initiatives to build and maintain positive relationships for a better working environment centered on Eagle Brook values and staff commitments
  • Partners with Human Resources Director on equipping the organization to lead employees with exceptional performance management skills and processes
  • Oversees performance management and annual performance review processes
  • Reports to the Human Resources Director

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Maintains, develops, recommends and implements employee relations objectives, policies and procedures
  • Communicates with employees regarding employee-relations concerns and provides guidance and recommendations for resolution of issues
  • Seeks to resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation and local, state and federal law
  • Assists supervisors in understanding and implementing company policies related to performance, discipline and related topics
  • Participates in employee/supervisor performance management meetings
  • Partners in progressive disciplinary process
  • Manages employee-related surveys, including stay interviews, exit interviews, 360 reviews, annual performance reviews and other related processes
  • Collaborates with leaders to identify gaps that cause organizational tension and proposes pathways for solutions
  • Drives development for supervisors and employees championing our feedback culture

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Assists with Accelerate leadership program, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s nine core beliefs
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in performance management
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proactive, able to work independently and take initiative
  • Experience working in a large organization with cross-functional teams
  • Experience partnering and collaborating with stakeholders, leaders, supervisors, manager and teams
  • Expertise in performance management software, platforms and spaces
  • Knowledge and experience in applying local, state and federal employment laws
  • Able to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to navigate confidential and sensitive conversations
  • Demonstrates wise decision-making skills
  • Effectively organizes and prioritizes work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master’s Degree in human resources or related field
  • 3+ years of experience using Trakstar Perform or comparable software
  • Experience or understanding of Eagle Brook Church culture or similar large church environment

 

JOB DETAILS

 

  • Location: Centerville, MN
  • Status: Exempt / Salary
  • Range: $70,000 – $80,000
  • Full/Part Time: Full Time
  • Regular/Temporary: Regular
  • Workdays: Monday – Friday (generally)
  • Work Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (generally)
  • Remote Eligible: may be eligible to work from home one day per week
  • Ministry/Department: Operations
  • Team: Human Resources

 

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Regularly remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Regularly uses repeating motions that may include wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Occasionally adjusts or moves objects up to 5 pounds in all directions
  • Occasionally moves objects up to 20 pounds
