Set-Up and Tear-Down Team Member // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Creates ministry environments for weekend services. Works with teams of staff and volunteers to set-up and tear-down ministry environments for a mobile campus. Works effectively and efficiently to complete assigned tasks during a specific shift. Reports to the Pastor of Campus Operations.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assists with Production and Ministry set-up and tear-down for weekend services
  • Assists with moving and positioning storage containers
  • Unloads equipment
  • Follows set-up plans to assist in creating environments
  • Disassembles and stores equipment after services
  • Ensures mobile site spaces are returned to original condition
  • Assists with training of volunteers
  • Performs light custodial duties including: sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing and dusting
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience coordinating departmental work and activities
  • Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook’s nine core beliefs
  • Effective communication skills; written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Ability to lift and load up to 30 pounds throughout assigned shift
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Available to work every other Sunday
  • Outwardly focused with attenders

 

JOB DETAILS 

  • Location: Rochester, MN
  • Status: non-exempt / hourly
  • Salary Range: $15.50
  • Full/Part Time: regular
  • Regular/Temporary: casual
  • Work Hours: Generally, shift options include every other Sunday: 4:30am – 8am and 12pm – 2pm. Schedules may vary by mobile campus.

EARNED SICK & SAFE TIME 

Employees will accrue at least 1 hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued ESST a year. An employee is anyone who an employer anticipates will work at least 80 hours in a year for an employer in Minnesota and is not an independent contractor.

 

WORK ENVIROMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Regular moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another  
  • Regular remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods 
  • Occasional assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned  
  • Occasional communicating with others to exchange information  
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like  
  • Occasional moving of self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces 
  • Occasional repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers 
  • Occasional operating machinery and/or power tools 
  • Occasional light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions 
  • Occasional medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions 
  • Occasional heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more in all directions
