WORSHIP PASTOR // EAGLE BROOK CHURCH

 

JOB OBJECTIVES 

 

  • Provides worship leadership for weekend services and occasional events
  • Assists in the development of the weekend worship experience
  • Participates in personal leadership development and the development of scheduled worship leaders
  • Supports the vision and overall direction established by the Worship Director
  • Models the central Worship vision of Be You, Be Bold, Be Known
  • Raises the bar musically and spiritually at the assigned campus
  • Makes strategic investments in musicianship in the community and surrounding areas
  • Facilitates auditions and the onboarding of new players and leaders to the team as well as their ongoing development
  • Reports to the Central Worship Lead

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  •          Partners with the central Worship team on recruiting, auditioning, developing, equipping, training and motivating current team members and new hires
  • Leads worship and rehearsals for weekend services, Student Ministries, holidays and special events with excellence, authenticity and relevance
    •        Memorizes song forms and lyrics
    •        Plans for spoken parts
    •        Preparation
  • Provides development opportunities for musicians and leaders by coaching and leading alongside them during Student Ministries
  • Communicates service details in advance to band members and campus Production team
  •            Invests regularly in musicians and leaders in the area through one-on-one meetings and facilitating team nights to build connection
  •           Helps execute creative projects and openers for special events and big three weekends at the assigned campus
  •           Contributes to defining overall strategies for this role
  •           Continually works on developing his or her craft and encourages band members to do the same
  •           Performs pastoral duties, including baptisms, weddings, funerals and visits

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

  • Participates in Eagle Brook Music writing, recording, performing and producing (festivals, live recordings, Unplugged, etc.), as needed
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to help plan and execute events and big three weekends, as assigned
  • Lives out and influences the culture of Eagle Brook Church
  • Schedules musicians at assigned campus, as needed
  • Manages an assigned budget, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  •          Follower of Jesus and aligns with Eagle Brook Church’s 9 core beliefs
  •          High School diploma or equivalent
  •          3+ years of experience playing in a band
  •          Must meet biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership
  •          Demonstrated spiritual maturity and character consistent with the biblical requirements for leadership 
  •          Strong musicianship with the ability to play different styles of music and lead worship in an engaging and authentic manner
  •          Proven ability to recruit, develop and lead multiple teams of worship leaders and musicians
  •          Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  •          Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PCO and Ableton

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  •         Bachelor's degree

 

JOB DETAILS

 

  •          Location: Rochester, MN
  •          Status: Exempt / Salary
  •          Salary Range: $67,000 - $68,000
  •          Classification: Full Time
  •          Regular / Temporary: Regular
  •          Workdays: Wednesday – Sunday (must be available for holiday services and special events)
  •          Work Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with evening hours for special events, meetings, rehearsals and Student Ministries (at least 2 per month)
  •          Remote Eligible: may be eligible to work remotely 1 day per week
  •          Ministry / Department: Creative Arts
  •          Team: Worship Ministries

  •          Regular assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned
  •          Regular communicating with others to exchange information
  •          Regular moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Regular noisy environments
  •          Regular repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  •          Regular sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
  •          Occasional small and/or enclosed spaces and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
